The Implicit Association Test (IAT) was designed by researchers at Harvard University to measure the unconscious associations and preferences for different topics. One of the most controversial is the race IAT, in which unconscious levels of prejudice toward races is measured. It has been found that a significant number of test takers have implicit preferences for whites over blacks.
