Social media

The term social media describes social interaction taking place via the Internet, using web-based technology. It is distinct from traditional communications media, and is in that sense perhaps something of a misnomer, as the name in itself does not imply computer technology. Nevertheless, social media is irrefutably a driving contemporary force.
