Old Thompson is a low-cost brand of American-style whiskey, produced by Barton Brands, which is now owned by the Sazerac Company based in Louisiana.
It is a blended whiskey that consists of 80% neutral grain spirit and mixture of different bourbon whiskeys. More expensive whiskeys sold in the market, such as straight bourbons, may not contain added neutral grain spirit.
